Throughout my entire high school career, I spent countless hours looking at motorcycles. Every time I would see motorcycles for sale, I would be drawn like a moth to a flame. I knew that there was no way I could get a bike before I was 18. My mom would practically ground me just for looking. Her brother, you see, had bought a motorcycle for sale when he was about my age. He'd been seriously injured in a crash, and had received brain-damaged that he'd never recovered from fully. My mom knew that this was a risk, and she threatened to disown me if I ever decided to ride a motorcycle.
Instead of discouraging me like you might think it would, her disapproval only encouraged me further. The idea of buying a used Harley Davidson for sale became a sign of adulthood for me. I knew that when I got my first motorcycle, I would truly be a man. I would have reached the age where my parents couldn't stop me, no matter how much they wanted to. I dreamed about motorcycles. I daydreamed about motorcycles for sale. I even worked on a motorcycle in shop class. Motorcycles were my entire life, and yet I never got to drive one until after high school.
Looking back, I can tell that I didn't have very good priorities. I was not interested in college and I was not interested in my future. I was only interested in working whatever job that I could get so that I could afford motorcycles for sale as soon as I had the money. I suppose that this didn't make me much different from most 18 year olds. A lot of people in their early adulthood only think of girls, money, and cars.
I was always searching the classifieds for used motorcycles for sale. I actually ended up getting a job at a local garage. We would fix up used motorcycles and put them back on the market. Soon, I got a couple motorcycles for sale and started doing work on my own. The world of custom motorcycles is lucrative, to say the least. Once I made a few connections, I could get motorcycles for sale for a few hundred dollars and sell them off again for $10000 after a week or two of work. It's amazing what people will pay for custom jobs. As it turns out, I was lucky. I was going nowhere, but stumbled into a job that took me somewhere.
